Youth for Youth x YohFitness

Updated: Nov 9, 2021

At Youth for Youth, our mission is to bring a smile to the faces of the underprivileged Youth of South India. ✊🏻

We have always served as a platform that helps youngsters get involved and give back to their community. 🌟 We do this by creating a culture of collaboration between the amazing youngsters and youth-driven organizations in our city and our partners running shelters supporting the children who need it the most.

We have has a long and very fruitful partnership over the last decade with the little ones at Angel's Home, a heartwarming orphanage in central Bangalore. This August, we took another step to strengthen our bond with the help of YohFitness, a fitness centre. 💪🏻 Youth for Youth, in collaboration with YohFitness, organized a fitness program for the children at Angels Home. Here, come take a peek into the exciting events the kids got to indulge in! 💥

Did you know that International Youth Day is celebrated on the 12th of August every year? 🙆🏻‍♂️ YohFitness joined us right in time for this and conducted fitness programs throughout the month, perfectly suiting the occasion. Thursdays were bustling with energy and enthusiasm, as the kids waited for their trainers to come to get them exercising! Fitness is often associated with adults, but this initiative was a step towards shedding light on the importance of fitness in youngsters. There were kids of all age groups, and this program was designed for them based on age factors. 🤸🏻‍♀️

Rehan, Sristi, and Sayeed were the three fitness gurus that came in and made sure everyone was motivated and focused on their fitness goals. Every week, they made sure that the program consisted of healthy exercises along with a ton of fun and enthusiasm. Nothing could get in the middle of this, not even rain! 🌧️

The classes included exercises to develop vital muscle groups, build strength, boost agility, and strengthen the core - all to keep the mind and body healthy. We got the opportunity to conduct something very different, fun, creative and educational for our little ones, and we couldn’t be happier about it! We’ve all grown up hearing “Health is Wealth.” Here’s them breathing life into these words. 💃🏻

We're so happy to share that our work got recognised in a major Kannada newspaper 'Sanjevani'. 🗞️ Teaching our younglings something they will forever cherish and value is our first step towards building a better society.

This International Youth Day, we created awareness about the importance of fitness in the youth population. Are you also a changemaker? Community Spotlight is our initiative that focuses on highlighting individuals and organisations that are giving back to our community through their work.
